Real World Misogyny

Had a very busy week, so please accept this brief Facebook post in response to the recent decision of a school board to allow “trans-girls” to share the same locker room as real girls- effectively eliminating any privacy in their school for girls whatsoever.

It’s heartbreaking to watch a nation sacrifice its daughters on the altar of political expediency. Where are the men, the fathers, saying “um no, I’m taking my daughters out of your schools, no way am I subjecting them to this insanity”? Seriously? Instead we are going to let them try to hold back tears on camera, and send them to school every day dreading changing in front of boys? It’s no surprise that when we decry masculinity we wind up emasculated, I suppose, but it is heartbreaking to witness. Men, just because the attack on our daughters and sisters is “legal” doesn’t mean that it is right. We have no right to forsake them to these wolves.

Do not be afraid of them; remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives and your houses. Nehemiah 4:14, NASB

And no, I am not advocating violence or hate. I am advocating courage and responsibility. The people who are doing this are lost, and they need the Gospel, not a bunch of dudes talking trash and waving shotguns.

We are blessed that, at least for now, we have the option as Americans to protect our women by removing them from or accompanying them to the places where they will be subjected to these kinds of abuses. And we must do so. Fathers, to abdicate our responsibility as protectors is to be complicit in the crime.

The abuse of these girls is not primarily the fault of the trans community or of a derelict government. It is primarily the fault of fathers who are not protecting their daughters- and their children in general. This is just the latest in a long string of abuses. They have been indoctrinating our children in all manner of evil for many many years, and it was never really their place to be educating them in the beginning. It is the Christian father- and church- who first allowed this whole thing to start. It must be the Christian father who stands up against it now.

This road doesn’t stop, and eventually it will become a matter of violence if we do not do our duty now while it is not. If we won’t stand up for them now when the cost is most likely nothing more than cultural scorn, we are kidding ourselves if we think we would be man enough to stand up at some mythical line in the sand down the road.
