Things That Need To Be Said

2024 edition

Any expression of sexuality other than males who are masculine and females who are feminine is an abomination to God. (Gen. 5:2)

The only proper sexual activity is monogamous, heterosexual, and within the context of a lifelong marriage covenant. (Matt. 19:8)

Wives are commanded by God to obey their husbands. (1 Pet. 3:5-6)

A husband’s authority in the home is not license for him to be a bossypants. (1 Pet. 3:7)

It is a sign of judgment on a nation when it is ruled by women. (Is. 3:12)

A female pastor is as much of a self-contradiction as a homosexual wedding. (1 Tim. 2:12)

Women should not fill combat roles. (Deut. 22:5)

P-rn-graphy is a deadly poison and a portal to hell. (Pr. 5:5)

Voting for Joe Biden is incompatible with a Christian worldview. (Micah 6:8)

Neither one’s gender nor their skin color nor their economic status makes what they say inherently more or less important or valid or true than what anyone else says. (Lev. 19:15)

Public schools and mainstream media are extremely dangerous. (Pr. 13:20)

Abortion – of any sort – at any time – under any circumstance – is murder. (Ex. 20:13)

Church attendance is not optional. (Heb. 10:25)

The heavens and the earth were created in six 24-hour days, approximately 6000 years ago. (Gen. 1-3)

The authority of Jesus Christ and of the Word of God is supreme over all governments and cultures. (Matt. 28:18-20)

It is not possible for a society to reject the Lordship of Jesus Christ without accepting the lordship of something else. Secularism is always a transition state and never a destination. (Matt. 6:24)

It is not loving to support someone in their sin. (1 Cor. 5:5)

Using pronouns which do not correspond to biological reality is not an option from a Christian worldview, since it is lying about God’s reality. (Acts 5:29)

There are not many ways to God. There is one way – through Jesus Christ. (John 14:6)

Repentance from sin is necessary for salvation. (Mark 1:15)

The penalty for those who will not come to God through Jesus Christ is eternal torment in hell under the just wrath of a holy God. (Mark 9:43-48)

The offer of mercy and eternal joy through Jesus Christ is open to everyone – atheists, LGBT folks, hardhearted religious Pharisees, TikTok feminists, fallen religious leaders, humanistic Republicans, arrogant conservatives, greedy capitalists, greedy leftists, racist right-wingers, racist left-wingers, rebellious wives, tyrannical husbands, the cruel and abusive, the broken and abused, and the average guy or girl, too – everyone. Don’t blame someone else. Repent of your own sin. Come to Jesus. Find the life that can be found only in Him and in His Word. (1 Cor. 6:11)

I spend a lot of time trying to communicate things in ways that will not cause unnecessary offense. But some things need to be said without caveat, because they are Biblically clear and are becoming more and more muddled in our culture. For myself, I must keep saying them clearly, lest in the pursuit of humility and Biblical balance I find myself losing what should be basic Christian reflexes. If we do not continue to say these things with clarity, then we will become uncomfortable with them… And that is the first step towards compromise. Any of the above statements could, of course, be the beginning of a conversation that fleshes out all of the details. Those discussions can be had. But they should not be prerequisites for us to embrace the basic truths stated above.
